Meet Dr. Ladell
Dr. D.K. Ladell's interest and excitement in treating adolescent idiopathic scoliosis was created by the fact that day to day, conventional medicine has adopted "wait and see" as its primary treatment. Research has clearly shown that up to 79% of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis will respond to conservative care which includes "the right brace at the right time" as well as supportive therapy. How can a doctor not get excited about changing children’s lives and giving them the opportunity to avoid invasive surgery! Dr. Ladell is passionate about this realistic approach to helping children with idiopathic scoliosis avoid pain, discomfort, surgery and deformity.
Dr. Ladell. made his way to Toronto and graduated with Honors from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Immediately thereafter, He began his career in Calgary as the youngest licenced member of the Chiropractic profession in Alberta.
At 22 years of age his passion to help people through chiropractic care was already set. Because of his active lifestyle in sports and his community, Dr. Ladell has gathered patients through basketball, tennis, golf and squash, along with world wide exposure to scuba diving and international Polo teams. Beyond what the classroom taught him, this broad base of people has given him hands on knowledge that can only come from years of experience.
His focus has always been on preventative maintenance, however it has not been unusual that he has seen acute patients in his home, their home and in the hospital on any imaginable day of the year. The patient has always come first.
